Arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle, where the European leg begins. A guided city tour takes in the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, the Opera House, Notre Dame and the Champs-Élysées. Ascend the Eiffel Tower’s observation deck, then a Seine river cruise past the illuminated landmarks.

After breakfast, on to the Château de Versailles — the Hall of Mirrors, the royal apartments and the manicured gardens. Back to Paris for a guided visit of the Louvre, home to the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and some 35,000 works. The evening is free for shopping or a café.

A day at Disneyland Paris — rides, parades and the characters. Later, Parisian nightlife at its most theatrical with the Lido Cabaret Show, an iconic blend of music, dance and light.

Farewell to France and south towards Switzerland, through picturesque landscapes, lush valleys and quiet lakes. Arrive in central Switzerland and settle into the alpine hotel.

Up Mount Titlis on the Rotair revolving cable car, then the Titlis Cliff Walk — Europe’s highest suspension bridge — and the Ice Flyer chairlift. Later Lucerne, the Lion Monument and the Chapel Bridge, and time for Swiss watches and chocolate. The day closes with a Lake Lucerne dinner cruise.

Trümmelbach Falls first — glacier-fed water carved inside the mountain. On to Interlaken between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, then the cogwheel train to the Top of Europe, Jungfraujoch at 3,454m, for the Ice Palace and the Sphinx Terrace.

Cross into Germany’s Black Forest, known for its scenic drives and cuckoo-clock workshops. After a relaxed visit, on to Zurich Airport for the return flight.
