INSIDE THE STUDIO
New York works from 580 Fifth Avenue, two blocks west of Bryant Park. It covers North America and, on request, South America, and it plans the city-to-wilderness routes the studio is asked for most.
It is also the handover desk. European studios pass their open questions west at dusk, and New York carries them until Sydney wakes — which is why the lights here go off last.
The building asks visitors for photo ID at the lobby desk, so allow an extra five minutes.
